Would you believe me if I told you that with the exhaustive search for Drama Schools at an international level, including large acting capitals such as Los Angeles, New York, Madrid, and CDMX, we did not find any striking, functional web page with a good UX or UI for the user about this specific niche!?

In this project, we are dedicated to drastically improving a web page that went from being purely informative to professional e-commerce for a theater school located in Barcelona, Spain.

Tot Arts Theatre is a theatre school from Barcelona that was born with the intention of making theatre for everyone.

The main goal for this new experience was to expand the number of registers by giving the chance to the students to buy classes through the website.

Who are the perfect customers for this brand? nonprofessionals who use the classes to have a therapeutical moment or improve their skills like public speaking, body expression, or self-esteem.

So… After some research, we found out that the market for acting schools in Barcelona is characterized by a diverse range of training programs offered by various institutions.

Digitalization has allowed theater schools to reach a wider audience, providing new opportunities from digital platforms, online education, and learning.

Also in some interviews, the common denominator of the issues was :

Some Heuristics Evaluation Results were :

1. Design not attractive.

2. Too long descriptions with irrelevant information.

3. Doesn’t permit us to get in contact on the course page.

4. Obsolete content.

Business and Competitive Research

We wanted to look for another school of theatre inside Barcelona, another one more international, and some other website that inspires the project without being from the same topic exactly...

The Ideation results after this information were these 6 key points :

The Site Map to start the new website (The current website and also the new one is in Spanish because wanted it that way).

Brand Identity for the team to be cohesive with the information and UI

Mid-fi Wireframes

Multiplatform Design

We are very happy with the result, we learn a lot along the process and had a lot of fun.

Thank you for your time!
